Protestant Airport Chaplaincy Schiphol Airport
Welcome to the Protestant Airport Chaplaincy at Schiphol Airport. More than one hundred thousand people a day travel through our airport. A true metropolis with huge numbers of temporary and infinitely changing residents. The Airport Chaplaincy is there to assist those who encounter difficulties during their journey, whatever difficulties that may be.
How and what type of assistance will be given, depends on the support required. It varies from practical and emotional support in case of sensitive issues, to trying to find a suitable solution, if the journey is not going according to plan.
The foundation board, the Airport Pastor and the volunteers managing the Meditation Center, jointly form the Airport Chaplaincy at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Together they create an ambience of peace and quiet, whenever and wherever needed, in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of an airport. Here they offer a place for prayer and meditation, lend a sympathetic ear, offer a hot drink or a place to sleep. This enables the journey to become manageable again and people are able to continue their travels.
